Barcelona have made a major decision that could completely change the direction of their transfer window after club president Joan Laporta settled on the club’s approach to one of its biggest attacking targets. According to SPORT, Joan Laporta gave his approval during today’s meeting to the “Julian Alvarez or nobody” strategy after Barcelona studied all of the available options in the transfer market.
Deco and Hansi Flick have agreed not to pursue an alternative signing for Julian Alvarez at this stage. The shared view is that Barcelona does not want to spend significant amounts of money on young alternatives or players who cannot guarantee an improvement to the current squad.

According to the information available, Barcelona are willing to increase their previous offer of €100 million if Atletico change their position and become prepared to negotiate directly over the Argentine striker.
