Graeme Souness has predicted that Real Madrid will make an astonishing \u00a3150 million bid for a Premier League star next summer as they continue building their \u2018galactico\u2019 squad.<\/p>\n
Real Madrid won their 15th Champions League title in 2024, defeating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 at Wembley with goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr.<\/p>\n
This victory has seemingly secured the Ballon d\u2019Or for Vinicius, who is now the frontrunner for the award, ahead of Manchester City\u2019s Rodri.<\/p>\n
After their historic triumph, Madrid further strengthened their squad by signing Kylian Mbappe as a free agent following the expiration of his PSG contract in the summer.<\/p>\n
Mbappe now joins Vinicius, Endrick, Rodrygo, and Jude Bellingham as attacking options for Carlo Ancelotti, but it\u2019s believed that Madrid could still add more firepower.<\/p>\n
Speaking to CaughtOffside, Souness suggested that Real Madrid might target Chelsea\u2019s Cole Palmer next summer.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m sure there are other players they could have cashed in on. Chelsea paid \u00a340 million for Palmer but if Real Madrid come knocking next summer and he is still at the level he is showing, I would not be surprised if they got an offer of \u00a3150m for him,\u201d Souness stated.<\/p>\n
Despite debuting for Manchester City in 2020, Palmer only truly made a name for himself last season after his move to Stamford Bridge.Since joining Chelsea, Palmer has scored 28 Premier League goals and provided 16 assists in just 41 appearances.<\/p>\n
Palmer\u2019s impressive debut season earned him a call-up to the England squad for Euro 2024, where he controversially didn\u2019t start a single match.<\/p>\n
Even though he wasn\u2019t in Gareth Southgate\u2019s starting lineup, Palmer made a significant impact on England\u2019s tournament, assisting their last-minute semi-final winner and scoring a long-range equaliser in the final.<\/p>\n
