Nico Williams has revealed how Barcelona stars tried their best to convince him to move to the club during the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n
The Athletic Club star emerged as Barcelona\u2019s top target, but the Catalans missed out on Williams as he ended up staying at the Basque side instead,<\/p>\n
Williams has been quizzed about his summer on the tv show La Revuelta TV and admitted it was a tricky time as the likes of Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde would text him \u201call the time.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cIt was difficult. On top of that, the \u2018bastards\u2019 of Lamine and Balde and others didn\u2019t help. They would say to me \u2018brother come now, come now.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Nico also revealed he still receivesmessages from Barcelona fans despite opting not to make the move last summer.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s difficult to evade yourself from that,\u201d he said. \u201cI still get messages despite not being linked. It\u2019s a bit of everything. Many people say \u2018go to Barca\u2019 and others say \u2018we don\u2019t need you anymore.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
