Despite the huge excitement surrounding a match that everyone dreamed of playing in since childhood, the coach also understands that several factors could make the challenge very different from what happened last season.<\/p>\n
Jose Alberto spoke openly about the upcoming meeting with Barcelona and explained how he wants his team to approach the match, insisting that Racing will not travel to Barcelona simply to defend. Instead, they will try to play with courage, maintain their identity and fight for points.<\/p>\n
The Racing Santander manager said that playing Barcelona at Camp Nou is the kind of match everyone dreams of experiencing from a young age. He acknowledged the team\u2019s huge excitement while also recognizing how difficult it will be to play away against an opponent enjoying an excellent period according to their numbers.<\/p>\n
Jose Alberto insisted that his team will go to Barcelona with courage and a determination to show its usual identity. Racing want to be the brave team they always aim to be, while accepting that there will be periods in which they have to suffer, as well as other moments when they can play and attack.<\/p>\n

He added that the different season and circumstances make it difficult to expect a scenario similar to the previous encounter. Racing are highly motivated to produce a strong performance, make things difficult for Barcelona and return to Santander with points.<\/p>\n
The Racing coach stressed that his team\u2019s objective will be to win, insisting that this is what they seek at every stadium they visit. He also discussed how difficult it can be to consider rotation when facing Barcelona, whom he described as one of the best teams in the world.<\/p>\n
Jose Alberto explained that his lineup decisions will be made as usual, based on the players the coaching staff believe are best suited to trying to surprise Barcelona. He stressed that Racing will not give their opponents any gifts and also hoped that his own players would not give Barcelona any gifts.<\/p>\n
The Racing manager also highlighted Barcelona\u2019s numbers, acknowledging their effectiveness in front of goal and the level being produced by their players before identifying what stands out most about their style of play.<\/p>\n
Jose Alberto said that offensively Barcelona have mastered all the different ways in which they can hurt opponents, while defensively one of their major strengths is the intense pressure they apply immediately after losing possession.<\/p>\n
He explained that this pressure makes opponents feel as though Barcelona never gives them time or breathing room, describing it as one of the biggest differences between Barcelona and many other teams, regardless of whether those teams have similar resources.<\/p>\n
The coach specifically warned his players about the moments immediately after losing possession because Barcelona reacts instantly in those situations. He also pointed to the danger of second and third attacks that Barcelona can win, particularly when the opponent is spread out across the pitch.<\/p>\n
