Frenchman Jules Kounde, Barcelona star, confirmed that he hopes that one of the stars of the Spanish national team that won Euro 2024 will join the Blaugrana ranks during the current summer transfer market.
Barcelona is seeking to strengthen its ranks by concluding a number of strong deals in order to restore the glory of the Catalan team again after a very difficult season.

Kounde said, while he was in Barcelona’s camp in the United States of America: “Nico Williams is a great player and of course I would like him to be my teammate.”
He added during statements reported by the Spanish “Relevo” network: “Let us see what the club will do, but if this can be achieved, of course we will be pleased.”

The Catalan club expressed its desire to sign Williams to strengthen its ranks with a distinguished winger, especially after the impressive level he showed during the European Championship (Euro 2024) and his contribution to Spain winning the title.
Barcelona made an official offer to Williams, and is awaiting the player’s approval in order to activate the release clause in his contract, which is worth 58 million euros.

It is noteworthy that Barcelona President Laporta undertook the same negotiations with the player and removed Deco from the deal in order to quickly finalize the contract with the player as soon as possible.
