Xavi instructs Hansi Flick to sign this player and expel Barcelona star

Former Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez sent a strong message to the new Barca coach, Hans Flick, after the start of the new season. Barcelona had announced that Flick would take over as the head coach of the first team following Xavi’s dismissal, which came after comments that angered the club’s president, Joan Laporta.

In his remarks, Xavi stressed that the situation within the Catalan club won’t improve unless there is clear communication from the decision-makers. He warned Flick that he would face significant financial challenges at Barcelona. Xavi also advised Flick to strengthen the midfield by signing Real Sociedad and Spain national team star Martin Zubimendi, whom he believes will bring the necessary balance to the team.

Xavi further stated that without a clear pivot player—despite the respect for young talent Bernal—Barcelona won’t be able to progress far in the competitions they participate in. He concluded by suggesting that Flick should find a strong alternative to German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, whose recent performances have led to several costly mistakes for the team in past seasons.
