Barcelona monitoring free agent to replace Bernal

Journalist Gerard Romero mentioned the names that could compensate for the absence of young Marc Bernal, the Barcelona star who suffered a cruciate ligament injury and will be sidelined for at least six months.

Romero, known for his expertise in Barcelona news, reported that the club is considering several options to fill Bernal’s void, with French player Adrien Rabiot and Portuguese Danilo Pereira of Paris Saint-Germain being the main candidates.

Rabiot is seen as the best option for the Catalan club since he is currently without a team, but the obstacle remains his high annual salary. If he agrees to lower his wage, Barcelona will proceed with signing him. Romero added that coach Hansi Flick prefers Rabiot if the player is willing to reduce his salary, and he could be the surprise signing in the final hours of the transfer window.

It is worth noting that Adrien Rabiot, the French international midfielder, left Juventus after his contract expired at the end of last season and is now seeking his next destination, potentially moving to Camp Nou in the coming hours.
