Toni Kroos urges Real Madrid to sign Joshua Kimmich!
Following his retirement after this summer’s European Championship, the legendary Toni Kroos is already looking out for Real Madrid’s future. The 34-year-old believes his former club needs a replacement for the vast experience he brought to the midfield, and he has one name in mind – Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich.
Kroos, who won 23 major trophies with Los Blancos, including five Champions League titles, has personally recommended the 29-year-old to Carlo Ancelotti. Despite Madrid’s current wealth of talent, with players like Jude Bellingham and Aurelien Tchouameni, Kroos believes Kimmich’s all-around ability and leadership would be an ideal fit for the Spanish giants.
Kimmich, who is also on Liverpool’s radar, is considered one of Europe’s top defensive midfielders. His consistent performances have been crucial to Bayern’s success, having made 398 appearances, scored 42 goals, and provided 106 assists over nearly a decade. However, with his contract expiring at the end of the season, the door may be open for a potential move.
As Bayern fans worry about the prospect of losing their key man, Madrid, following Kroos’ recommendation, are reportedly among the clubs eyeing the 2019-20 Champions League winner. Could we see Kimmich in a white shirt next season? Only time will tell!
