Raphinha dropped the coldest line of the season so far after hat-trick for Barcelona vs Bayern Munich
Barcelona star Raphinha dropped one of the coldest quotes of the season so far following his incredible individual performance against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
After five straight defeats to Bayern Munich, Barcelona finally achieved their third-ever victory against the German side, and they did it impressively.
The hosts quickly took the lead, with Raphinha rounding Neuer and scoring within the first minute.
Bayern responded well after their rocky start, having a potential equalizer from Harry Kane disallowed before he eventually scored with a well-placed volley.
However, that was as good as it got for Bayern. Robert Lewandowski tapped the ball into an empty net, and Raphinha added to the score with a brilliant solo goal, giving Barcelona a comfortable lead before halftime.
While players like Lamine Yamal and Pedri impressed the crowd, Raphinha was undoubtedly the standout performer, completing his hat-trick in the second half.
This match marked the Brazilian’s 100th appearance for the club since joining in 2022. After the game, when asked if this was his best performance for Barcelona, he hinted at even more to come: “Was this my best game at Barcelona? One of my best… the best is yet to come,” he stated in a post-match interview.
Raphinha is likely hoping to showcase his “best” soon, with El Clasico on the horizon this Saturday.
Barcelona currently holds a three-point lead over the European champions in La Liga as they aim to reclaim the Spanish title.
Buoyed by their recent Champions League success, Barcelona heads into the match in good spirits. Meanwhile, Real Madrid also had an impressive showing on matchday three, with their Brazilian star securing the match ball in a 5-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund.
