Not Alonso, Perez has started communicating with a surprise coach to lead Real Madrid to succeed Ancelotti in the coming period
Real Madrid has clarified its stance on Carlo Ancelotti’s future as head coach following the team’s 4-0 defeat to Barcelona in the Clasico. The match, held at the Santiago Bernabeu, saw goals from Robert Lewandowski (two goals), Lamine Yamal, and Rafinha Diaz.
According to the Spanish outlet “Relevo,” president Florentino Perez is unhappy with the team’s performance this season under Ancelotti, especially given the presence of top players. He has expressed a desire to reach out to Zinedine Zidane to discuss a potential return to coaching.
The report suggests that the impact of the Clasico loss will be felt in the coming weeks, as Ancelotti appears to be losing support within the club. His position is precarious, particularly after Perez indicated that further defeats could lead to Ancelotti’s dismissal and Zidane’s reinstatement.
It was also noted that Ancelotti may have the option to stay with the club in a different role, even if he is no longer the head coach.
