Perez wants to sign a surprise coach to succeed Ancelotti at Real Madrid

Real Madrid, led by Florentino Perez, has chosen a potential replacement for Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti. The team is currently second in the Spanish League with 24 points, having achieved seven wins, three draws, and one loss. Ancelotti’s position is under scrutiny due to disappointing performances this season, particularly following a heavy 4-0 defeat in the Clasico.

According to the Catalan newspaper “Sport,” Perez is considering appointing Xabi Alonso, currently the coach of Bayer Leverkusen, as Ancelotti’s successor next year. The report suggests that the club’s board is dissatisfied with how the season has unfolded, especially since the arrival of French star Kylian Mbappe.

Officials at Real Madrid acknowledge that the situation has spiraled beyond their control, especially after the significant Clasico defeat, which has caused a rift in the team that even winning titles may not fix. Trust in Ancelotti has been seriously undermined.
