Laporta agrees to Barcelona star’s departure after he was excluded from Hansi Flick’s plans this season
Recent reports from the Spanish press have revealed surprising news about the potential departure of Barcelona’s first-team star during the upcoming winter transfer window in 2025, following his exclusion from the plans of German coach Hans Flick. Currently, Barcelona leads La Liga with 30 points after 11 matches, holding a six-point advantage over rival Real Madrid, whom they recently defeated 4-0 in the Clasico.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Sport,” Barcelona’s management has approved the departure of Ansu Fati in the upcoming winter transfer period. The club has communicated to Fati and his agent, Jorge Mendes, that the decision regarding his exit next January will be up to them.
The report suggests that Barcelona would not oppose a loan move for Fati if a suitable offer arises, given his limited opportunities under Flick, who has shown a lack of confidence in him. So far this season, Fati has played only 28 minutes. The club is now awaiting Fati’s decision on whether he wants to leave in January or remain until the season’s end.
