Because of Real Madrid, Liverpool is monitoring the signing of one of Barcelona’s most important players
Barcelona is reportedly assisting Real Madrid in acquiring Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool, filling the gap left by Dani Carvajal’s injury, which will keep him sidelined for the rest of the season. This comes on the heels of Barcelona’s significant victory over Real Madrid in the recent Clasico.
According to the Spanish newspaper El Nacional, Liverpool is bracing for Alexander-Arnold’s departure, as his contract expires next June and is unlikely to be renewed, allowing him to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.
The newspaper reported that Liverpool plans to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold by targeting Barcelona’s French defender Jules Kounde in the upcoming summer transfer window. The English club is preparing to make a €50 million offer for the former Sevilla player.
Kounde has become an essential part of Barcelona’s lineup this season under coach Hansi Flick, which could complicate Liverpool’s pursuit. However, Barcelona’s financial situation under Joan Laporta may influence the outcome of the deal.
