Real Madrid considers swap deal with Chelsea to sign the English team’s jewel
Reports suggest that Real Madrid plans to pursue a swap deal with Chelsea during the upcoming summer transfer window, following the end of the current season.
While preparing for their match against Valencia, which has now been postponed due to floods in the area, Real Madrid is focused on acquiring young Argentine star Enzo Fernandez, who played a crucial role in Argentina’s 2022 World Cup victory and currently plays for Chelsea.
According to British site Team Talk, Real Madrid aims to ramp up its efforts to sign Fernandez, considering a bid of £84 million or a swap involving young French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni to entice Chelsea.
Spanish outlet Fichajes also reports that Fernandez has emerged as Real Madrid’s top target for midfield reinforcement. If a deal is finalized, his exceptional skills would make him a significant asset to the team.
At just 23, Fernandez has made 74 appearances for Chelsea since joining, contributing 7 goals and 6 assists. His contract with the club runs until June 2032.
