Not Arnold… Real Madrid settles on a surprise player to succeed Carvajal in the team
Real Madrid appears to be preparing for the possibility that their pursuit of Trent Alexander-Arnold may not succeed. With Dani Carvajal sidelined for the remainder of the season due to injury, the club has identified a replacement. While Liverpool’s right-back, Alexander-Arnold, is a top target for next summer, another player has emerged as a serious candidate: Pedro Porro from Tottenham Hotspur.
According to the Spanish newspaper “AS,” coach Carlo Ancelotti favors Porro, believing he would be a better fit for the team than Alexander-Arnold. Ancelotti noted that Arnold’s attacking style could leave Madrid vulnerable defensively. In contrast, Porro’s speed and adaptability align well with the team’s style and offer a balance in both defense and attack.
Furthermore, reports suggest that Liverpool is keen to negotiate a contract extension for Alexander-Arnold, who is open to staying with the club.
