Barcelona Plans to Sign the Best Striker in Europe by Including the Rejected Player in the Deal
Barcelona is aiming to sign Europe’s top striker by including an out-of-favor player in the deal. The team is currently enjoying a strong start to the season under German coach Hansi Flick, who has led them to dominate both La Liga and European competitions with impressive performances.
Flick is focused on continuing the team’s progress and restoring Barcelona to its rightful place in European and global football. To achieve this, he is looking to strengthen the squad with some of the best talents in the world.
Reports from Spain suggest that Barcelona is interested in acquiring Swedish forward Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting Lisbon. The Portuguese club reportedly values Gyökeres at €100 million, although he could be available for around €60-70 million.
Catalan newspaper *Sport* states that Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, is exploring the possibility of signing Gyökeres, seeing him as a long-term solution to replace Robert Lewandowski. The report also mentions that Barcelona is considering an exchange deal, where Brazilian striker Vitor Roque, currently on loan at Real Betis, would be sent to Sporting Lisbon in return for Gyökeres.
*Sport* further notes that Sporting Lisbon showed interest in Roque last summer, offering €30 million, but the player declined, preferring a loan move instead.
