Real Madrid’s struggles continued as they suffered a 3-1 home defeat to AC Milan at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday in the Champions League group stage. Following this loss and a recent 4-0 defeat to Barcelona in the Clasico, Real Madrid now sit 17th in the standings with 6 points, just behind Milan, who are 18th on goal difference.

According to *Defensa Central*, head coach Carlo Ancelotti’s job is now under serious threat. The Italian manager expressed his frustration with Real Madrid star Lucas Vazquez, blaming him for the loss to Milan. Ancelotti reportedly believes that failing to secure a quality right-back to replace Dani Carvajal has impacted the team’s season, as Vazquez has struggled in this role. As a result, Ancelotti plans to bench Vazquez and move Valverde to right-back until a replacement can be signed in January.

Ancelotti is also considering further lineup changes, including starting Brazilian talent Endrick over Kylian Mbappe. The French star has failed to meet expectations this season, missing crucial scoring chances, which Ancelotti sees as a major factor in the team’s recent underperformance.

In response to the loss, club president Florentino Perez reportedly entered the locker room to criticize Lucas Vazquez and Ferland Mendy, expressing frustration with their lackluster contributions on both ends of the pitch. Perez is now prepared to place Mendy and Tchouameni on the transfer list after their disappointing displays, with Tchouameni failing to make an impact in recent games.

Perez also held Ancelotti accountable, criticizing his tactical decisions and lineup choices, which he deemed incompatible with the team’s strengths. In an attempt to turn things around, Perez has instructed Ancelotti to bench Mbappe until he returns to form and to include Endrick and Arda Güler in the starting lineup for upcoming matches.

Finally, the report indicates that Perez has issued Ancelotti a final warning, making it clear that if results do not improve, Ancelotti’s position as head coach could be at risk
