Neither Alonso nor Zidane… Two surprising options for Real Madrid in case of Ancelotti’s dismissal in the coming days

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has faced criticism in the past, but following recent defeats to Barcelona and Milan, questions about his future have intensified. The pressure on him to secure his position at the helm of the club has increased.

Reports suggest that club president Florentino Pérez visited the training ground in Valdebebas and had a lunch meeting with Ancelotti, during which the Italian coach expressed his belief that he can turn the situation around.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Pérez told Ancelotti and other senior officials that improvements on the field are necessary. However, he also sought to reassure Ancelotti and show his support.

The report also mentioned that Real Madrid has not yet started looking for potential replacements for Ancelotti, and the current situation is not as dire as it was during the tenures of Julen Lopetegui or Rafael Benítez, when both coaches were dismissed mid-season.

Still, if results do not improve, the club could consider internal alternatives. Sporting director Santi Solari or Raúl González, the manager of the Castilla team, might be potential candidates to take over.

The article concluded that if Real Madrid continues to struggle, falling further behind Barcelona in La Liga and failing to overcome Liverpool at Anfield in the Champions League, Pérez may ultimately be forced to part ways with Ancelotti.
