Hansi Flick openly acknowledges his mistakes and admits that some of his summer decisions are now being re-evaluated. While Barcelona’s strong results this season suggest the team is in good form, the German coach still believes there is room for improvement.

According to Spanish newspaper *Sport*, Flick regrets letting go of a player who could have been valuable to the team at this stage. The player in question is Alex Valle, who impressed during pre-season and in friendly matches. Although he was expected to stay, Valle was loaned out to another club.

Flick explained that he couldn’t guarantee Valle a regular starting spot, so he chose to keep Gerard Martin instead, allowing the young Spanish player, who had several offers, to leave on loan. In the Scottish Premier League, Valle has been a regular starter and has even played in the Champions League, a competition he had yet to feature in at Barcelona.

After settling in, Valle has become an essential player for Celtic, earning attention for his standout performances. Barcelona is now closely monitoring his progress, and there is growing confidence in his potential. Flick believes Valle possesses the ideal physical and technical attributes for Barcelona, seeing him as the perfect replacement for Alejandro Balde.

As a result, Flick plans to bring Valle back to Barcelona in 2025 after his loan at Celtic ends. Previously, club president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco were considering signing a new left-back. However, recent developments have led them to change their plans and instead place their trust in Valle, who will return to the club in 2025.
