How is this even possible”: Fans slam official La Liga graphics for Lewandowski’s disallowed goal

Robert Lewandowski’s early goal in Barcelona’s match against Real Sociedad was surprisingly ruled out.

Although replays clearly showed Lewandowski was onside, the referee still called it offside. A few minutes later, the official graphics were displayed, which only added to the confusion.

The graphics showed Lewandowski’s right toe slightly offside, but based on the foot’s position in the replay, this portrayal was physically impossible. His foot would have to be much larger for the offside to be accurate, which raises doubts about the accuracy of the decision.

Fans understandably criticized the graphics, with some reacting:

“How is this even possible?”

“Does Lewy have size 57 feet?”

“I seriously don’t understand how Lewandowski’s foot is ahead of the defender’s.”
