Real Sociedad game decides the decision… Flick can’t stand him, the player has become a big problem for Barcelona

Real Sociedad defeated Barcelona 1-0 at Anoeta Stadium in the 13th round of La Liga. This loss marked Barcelona’s second in the league and their third overall this season, following a defeat to Monaco in the Champions League. Despite the setback, Barcelona remains atop the table with 33 points, six ahead of Real Madrid, who have a postponed match against Valencia.

According to *El Nacional*, German coach Hansi Flick has made it clear that Ansu Fati does not fit into the style of play he intends to establish at Barcelona. Fati, who came on as a substitute in the Real Sociedad match, failed to make an impact and repeatedly lost possession. His declining physical fitness is also a concern.

Flick aims to implement a more dynamic, high-intensity system, but Fati’s playing style, often perceived as slow, does not meet these demands. Since recovering from injury, Fati’s performances have been underwhelming, lacking speed and precision in ball recovery, frustrating both the coach and fans.

A key issue for Barcelona is Fati’s unwillingness to accept a bench role or leave the club, especially given his high salary. Despite his agent seeking offers last summer, no suitable proposals have come through. If Flick excludes him from his plans, Fati’s situation could become a long-term problem for the team. Barcelona has shown it can function effectively without him, and Flick reportedly insists on his departure in January, aiming to bring in a more impactful winger.
