Final decision… Florentino Perez and Ancelotti announced that he will leave Real Madrid next June

Real Madrid officials are planning to offload some players soon to create space for stronger signings that will further enhance the team’s roster. The club’s management must make tough decisions to improve the squad, with some choices likely to pay off while others may prove to be missteps.

One such decision appears to be the case of Jesús Vallejo, where the club may have made a misjudgment. Signed for €5 million in 2015, Vallejo has been loaned out six times and has struggled with injuries and personal challenges, which have hindered his development over the past nine years.

Vallejo’s contract with Real Madrid runs until June 30, 2025. Last summer, the club considered parting ways with him, but Vallejo opted to stay for another season, hoping to make the most of his final year at the club.

According to *Defensa Central*, Real Madrid has now made it clear that it will not renew Vallejo’s contract, a reality the player fully understands. Coach Carlo Ancelotti has preferred to rely on other center-back options like Aurélien Tchouaméni or young Castilla talents like Asensio and Jacopo.

Despite the challenges Vallejo has faced, he remains grateful to Real Madrid for the support it has provided throughout his difficult moments. However, it seems likely that Vallejo’s next move will be elsewhere, with a fresh start potentially outside of La Liga due to his long absence from regular first-team action and the need to regain his confidence.
