Juventus offers €25m to sign Barcelona star, Deco demands €30m to complete deal

In a new development, Juventus has expressed a strong interest in signing a player from Barcelona, with Andreas Christensen at the top of their list. Christensen, whose contract runs until 2026, appears uncertain about his future at Barcelona. Despite being a regular starter under Xavi Hernandez, there are doubts about his role under new coach Hansi Flick, especially given the fierce competition in both defense and midfield. Christensen’s absence due to a preseason injury has also raised questions about his place in future line-ups.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco have had discussions with Christensen and his agent, but no agreement has been reached. Since the Danish defender is not considered a key player, the club is open to offers to avoid losing him on a free transfer when his contract expires.

Juventus, aiming to strengthen their squad, sees Christensen as a valuable addition due to his extensive experience and versatility. With the recent injury to Gleison Bremer, who will miss the rest of the season, Juventus is keen to sign a new central defender. Christensen is seen as an ideal candidate, and the club plans to make an official offer in January.

Juventus has already made an initial bid of €15 million, with an additional €10 million in variables. However, Deco is insisting on a €30 million fee, refusing to let Christensen leave for anything less.
