Flick reportedly considering playing Alejandro Balde in attack against Celta Vigo
Barcelona will resume their La Liga campaign on November 23 with a match against Celta Vigo at Estadio de Balaidos. However, manager Hansi Flick may have to contend with several injury concerns, particularly in the attacking positions.
Due to these injury issues, Barcelona’s attacking options are limited to Raphinha and Pau Victor, prompting Flick to consider using Alejandro Balde in a forward role—an area the young defender has played in before at La Masia.
Balde has the pace and ability to contribute offensively, but how well he combines with other attacking players remains to be seen.
Should Balde start in attack against Celta Vigo, Gerard Martin is expected to step in at left-back. Meanwhile, Lamine Yamal is likely to be rested, as Flick shifts his focus to the upcoming Champions League match against Brest.
In a separate note, Balde recently named Federico Valverde as one of his three toughest opponents.
