Andreas Christensen is being tipped to leave Barcelona either in the January transfer window or next summer.
The Dane has only played for the club once this season due to an achilles injury and is not expected back for some time.
Indeed Barcelona ended up registering Dani Olmo after Christensen’s injury was deemed long term and freed up some space on the wage bill.
Relevo are reporting that Christensen is “practically out of Barcelona’s future plans” and “is on the way out.”
Premier League clubs are said to be monitoring his situation, with Newcastle having previously been linked with a move for the defender in the summer.
The report adds that while Christensen may be leaving, Barcelona are definitely hoping to hold onto Inigo Martinez and want to renew his contract.
Martinez has been regular fixture in the heart of the defence alongside Pau Cubarsi, and manager Hansi Flick has already told the club to hand him a new deal at the club.
