BARCELONANico Williams and Rafael Leão “highly appreciated” as Barcelona plot big signing next summer
With the much-anticipated new deal with Nikenow confirmed and a huge cash injection expected with the return to the Spotify Camp Nou next season, Barcelona are plotting a big signing for the summer of 2025 and two names are at the top of the list.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who says Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams and AC Milan’s Rafael Leão are two names that are “highly appreciated” by the club’s decision makers.
Both players would fill a key position in attack on the left wing and add much-needed depth to a Barça frontline that has only consistently counted on three players — Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski — so far this season.
Nico was already very close to signing for the Blaugrana last summer and Rafa Leão’s agent Jorge Mendes has a great relationship with Barça president Joan Laporta, which only fuels the rumors as we get closer to transfer season.
It remains to be seen whether the club will sign either of the two stars, but Barça fans better get ready to hear those two names quite often in the next 8-10 months.
