Thiago Alcantara reportedly open to coaching comeback at Barcelona under Hansi Flick
Thiago Alcantara is reportedly considering a return to Barcelona in a coaching capacity to assist Hansi Flick. The former Barcelona midfielder, who retired this past summer after leaving Liverpool, has kept a close relationship with Flick.
Earlier this year, Thiago briefly joined Barcelona’s coaching staff as an external consultant. Even during his short time with the club, he made a noticeable impact on the development of their young midfielders. His extensive experience, both internationally and at the highest level, allowed him to relate to the squad and offer valuable tactical insights.
Since then, Thiago has stayed involved with Barcelona by participating in virtual meetings with the coaching staff. Reports indicate that he may return in January to assume a more formal coaching role, which could help strengthen Barcelona’s tactics under Flick.
Although Thiago is not in a hurry to fully transition into coaching, his passion for the game remains strong. Given his deep connection with Barcelona and his experience, it seems likely that he will play a key role in the club’s future.
Barcelona is also reportedly planning to appeal Hansi Flick’s suspension.
