Real Madrid are reportedly targeting Manchester United’s Lisandro Martinez for a potential move in the summer of 2025. The Argentine defender, an integral player at Old Trafford, has caught the interest of the Spanish club as they seek to strengthen their defense.
Martinez’s Role at United
Martinez, who joined United from Ajax in 2022 for over £50 million, has become a crucial part of their defensive unit. Under the guidance of new manager Ruben Amorim, who prefers a back-three formation, Martinez’s experience and determination are deemed essential to United’s defensive strategy.
Although he was suspended for the recent 2-0 loss to Arsenal due to yellow card accumulation, Martinez is expected to return to the starting lineup for Saturday’s match against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford.
