Dani Olmo could leave Barcelona in January
The newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported that Dani Olmo’s contract with Barcelona contains an unusual clause allowing him to leave the club for free during the winter transfer window. Barcelona acquired Olmo from Leipzig during the summer transfer window following his impressive performances with the Spanish national team in the European Nations Cup.
Due to the club’s salary cap issues, Barcelona could only temporarily register Olmo’s contract until January, preventing a permanent registration. The club is now working to fully register his contract in January by implementing a new financial measure to resolve the situation.
Despite this clause, which allows Olmo to depart for free if the club fails to register him during any transfer window, the player is not planning to exercise it, as he wishes to remain at Barcelona.
