Ferran Torres reportedly frontrunner to replace Yamal vs Atletico Madrid

Lamine Yamal will miss Barcelona’s upcoming La Liga match against Atletico Madrid due to an ankle injury.

According to Marca, Ferran Torres is the top candidate to take Yamal’s place in the starting lineup for this crucial match.

However, it’s unclear where exactly Torres will play. He might slot in on the right wing, or coach Hansi Flick could shift him to the left, moving Raphinha to the right wing.

Given Torres’ recent strong performances, he is considered a more likely replacement for Yamal than Fermin Lopez.

So far this season, Torres has scored five goals and registered two assists in 15 appearances, with four goals in his last four matches.

Ansu Fati is also eager to replace Yamal and contribute to Barcelona’s victory over Atletico Madrid, according to reports.
