Atletico Madrid triumphed 2-1 over Barcelona in the 19th round of La Liga, moving to the top of the table with 41 points, 3 ahead of Barcelona, who have played one more match.

According to Spanish newspaper El Nacional, Pedri is the most frustrated Barcelona player after the loss to Atletico Madrid, which caused them to lose their top spot in the league. Despite playing a remarkable solo performance on the field, Pedri felt abandoned by his teammates, and the outcome didn’t reflect his effort.

The report states that Pedri is particularly upset with Robert Lewandowski, believing that the Polish striker is responsible for Barcelona’s recent struggles due to his missed scoring chances. Pedri has reportedly asked coach Hansi Flick to leave Lewandowski out of the starting lineup and give young striker Pau Victor a chance, until a more reliable forward can be brought in.

Pedri also told teammates Gavi and Raphinha that he no longer wants Lewandowski in the team’s lineup for the foreseeable future, to help salvage the season before it’s too late.
