Barcelona may face a setback in their financial plans as Sporting Lisbon is reportedly working on renewing Francisco Trincao’s contract. This renewal could impact the clauses tied to his sale, potentially limiting Barcelona’s future financial gain.

The Portuguese winger is said to be in talks with Sporting about an extension, which could prevent Barcelona from benefiting financially.

When Barcelona transferred Trincao to Sporting, they included a clause allowing them to receive 50% of any future sale’s profit, along with a €25 million buyback option until 2026.

If Trincao’s contract is renewed, both the buyback clause and the profit share could be nullified.
