Barcelona are planning to sign a top-class winger to add depth to Hansi Flick’s squad

In this context, reports from the Spanish press suggest that Barcelona is targeting German international Leroy Sané, the Bayern Munich winger. The 28-year-old’s contract with the German club expires at the end of the current season.

According to Catalan newspaper Sport, Sané has been negotiating with Bayern Munich for several months to renew his contract. The paper further noted that Bayern is considering selling Sané if he refuses a substantial salary cut.

The report also mentioned that Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United have shown interest in signing Sané. The player himself has expressed his desire to join Barcelona, play alongside Lamine Yamal and Pedri, and work once again under Hansi Flick’s leadership.

So far this season, Sané has made 19 appearances for Bayern in all competitions, scoring 5 goals and providing 1 assist. He joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2020 from Manchester City for €49 million.
