Top 20 footballers whose transfer values have risen most in 2024 including Lamine Yamal and seven Premier League stars
The 20 footballers who have seen their transfer values increase the most in 2024 have been revealed.
The year has been eventful, with major international tournaments like Euro 2024 and Copa America, which were won by Spain and Argentina, respectively.
On the domestic front, Manchester City once again dominated the Premier League, though they’ve only won one of their last 13 matches this season. Real Madrid claimed the La Liga title and their 15th Champions League trophy, while Bayer Leverkusen achieved an unprecedented Invincible season, securing their first-ever Bundesliga title.
But which players have seen the most significant rise in market value this season?
Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, at 17, leads the way after an exceptional year. He made his first-team debut last season and has quickly become a vital player for Barcelona, recording five goals and nine assists in La Liga this season, alongside winning Euro 2024 with Spain. His market value has skyrocketed from €60 million to €180 million, according to Transfermarkt.
In second place is Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, who has netted 34 goals and provided 17 assists in the Premier League since last season. He also scored in the Euro 2024 final for England. His value has risen from €45 million to €130 million.
Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi has seen the most dramatic increase in market value, with his worth jumping by 4566.7%, from €1.5 million to €70 million. Like Yamal, Cubarsi is 17 and came through the Barcelona academy.
Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior is fourth on the list, with his value now standing at €200 million, the highest on the list. The Brazilian, who finished second in the Ballon d’Or rankings and won the Champions League, saw his value grow by €50 million since the start of the year.
Completing the top five is Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo, who rose rapidly through the ranks to become a key player under Erik ten Hag last season. Although his 2024 season has been challenging due to injuries and a managerial change to Ruben Amorim, his market value still surged by 816.7%, from €6 million to €55 million.
These are the top 20 players with the most significant increases in transfer value for 2024.
