Ronaldinho Laporta’s management and coach Hansi Flick to carry out an unprecedented revolution in the team and expel 5 players from Barcelona in the next transfer window
In an exclusive interview with the Catalan newspaper Sport, Ronaldinho, the legendary figure from Barcelona and Brazil, shared his thoughts on the current state of the Catalan club and its performance this season. He was candid about his concerns regarding the leadership of president Joan Laporta, offering sharp criticism. He warned that if the situation continues, Barcelona’s season could collapse completely.
Ronaldinho highlighted the lack of stability in the club, stating that Barcelona has been experiencing chaos for several years, and Laporta seems to lack a clear vision to restore the team to its former glory. He emphasized that the current course could result in a season devoid of any hope for competing for titles.
He also expressed his belief that Laporta’s focus is more on personal interests than the club’s, and despite the significant challenges the team faces, management has failed to provide real solutions. This, he argued, is harming Barcelona, rather than benefiting it.
While Ronaldinho acknowledged some of the team’s talented players, he was quick to point out several others who he believes should be removed in order for Barcelona to have any chance of competing for titles. He criticized Ferran Torres for not meeting the level required for a Barcelona player, and pointed out that Robert Lewandowski, though once a key player, has lost his scoring touch, causing the team to lose important points. He also mentioned Jules Kounde’s struggles at right-back, Frenkie de Jong’s lack of impact despite his high salary, and Ansu Fati, who has been sidelined by injury for much of the season.
Ronaldinho also urged coach Hansi Flick to take bold action. He believes that to return Barcelona to the top of European football, Flick must swiftly make decisions to rid the team of these players. He concluded that without bold moves, the club will not have any hope of competing for titles this season.
At a time when Barcelona is dealing with both technical and administrative issues, Ronaldinho’s comments reflect the growing demand for urgent changes.
