Hansi Flick makes a surprising decision regarding the team’s duo
Press reports have revealed the first actions taken by Barcelona, led by Joan Laporta, after the Spanish Football Federation refused to register two of the team’s players. The Spanish Federation denied the necessary licenses for Dani Olmo and Pau Victor to remain with the first team, following La Liga’s rejection of their registration.
According to the reports, Barcelona intends to pursue legal action, initially addressing the Spanish Supreme Sports Council and then the regular courts to request a precautionary measure for player registration by Tuesday. The club is optimistic about obtaining the measure, citing that the licensing law at the time did not relate to financial fair play, a loophole the club is aiming to leverage.
Despite Barcelona reverting to the 1/1 rule, the club is still unable to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor. Media reports also suggest that coach Hansi Flick plans to take the two unregistered players, along with the rest of the team, to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Bilbao. While they will not participate due to their registration status, Flick hopes keeping them with the team will minimize the negative impact on them.
