Hansi Flick decides to exclude Barcelona star from Bayern Munich and Real Madrid matches

Hansi Flick, the head coach of Barcelona’s first football team, has made a decision regarding the role of one of the players for the upcoming fixtures, particularly ahead of matches against Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Barcelona is gearing up for several crucial encounters following the current international break, with a significant Champions League match against Bayern Munich on the horizon, followed by a La Liga clash in Madrid against Real Madrid that could determine the league standings.

According to the Spanish newspaper “AS,” Flick has opted not to include Gavi in the squad for the upcoming match against Sevilla. This decision is driven by his intention to avoid risking the player, especially with two challenging matches against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid approaching.

It is anticipated that Gavi will be ready to return by the end of October and could potentially play against Sevilla, but Flick’s cautious approach will keep him sidelined for that match.

As a result, Gavi will need to wait until November 3rd for his chance to participate, with hopes of getting some minutes against Espanyol before the key matches against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

The report also notes that Gavi is disappointed with Flick’s choice, as he is eager to play against both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, even if just for a short time. Nevertheless, Flick has decided to exclude him from the lineup for the upcoming games.
