Spain coach advises this player to join Barcelona and reject Real Madrid

Barcelona had many players in mind during the last transfer window, but financial constraints limited their options, leading the team to rely on its existing squad. They did manage to sign Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo from Leipzig for around 60 million euros.

Reports from El Nacional indicate that Martin Zubimendi of Real Sociedad was a highly speculated target during the summer, attracting interest from top clubs like Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and particularly Liverpool. However, unlike his teammates Robin Le Normand and Mikel Merino, he chose to remain with Real Sociedad.

Interestingly, Real Madrid fans are also keen on Zubimendi. Carlo Ancelotti sees a need to strengthen the midfield, especially with Luka Modric set to retire in 2025 and Toni Kroos already missed. Aurelien Tchouameni has not convinced, leading Florentino Pérez to consider bringing in another midfielder to join Fede Valverde and Jude Bellingham, while also competing with Eduardo Camavinga.

Additionally, it seems that Luis de la Fuente, Zubimendi’s coach in the Spanish national team, has advised him to prioritize a move to Barcelona if he decides to leave Real Sociedad, believing it would offer him greater visibility and a better fit for his style.
