Hansi Flick confirms Barcelona star will miss Bayern Munich match tormorrow
Barcelona will be without defender Eric Garcia for their upcoming Champions League match against Bayern Munich on Wednesday. The team is looking to secure a win against the German side, which has posed significant challenges in recent years. Garcia is sidelined due to a right thigh muscle injury he sustained during warm-ups before the match against Sevilla, where Barcelona won 5-1.
The Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” reported that Barcelona’s medical team is working to get Eric Garcia ready for normal participation in next week’s El Clasico against Real Madrid. It noted that Garcia received a red card in Barça’s first Champions League match under the new format against Monaco, which led to his absence in the following game against Young Boys, and now his injury has kept him out of the third match.
Garcia is part of a growing injury list for Barcelona, which also includes Andreas Christensen, Ronald Araujo, Ferran Torres, Marc Bernal, and Marc-André ter Stegen.
