By order of Flick, Barcelona begins negotiations with a Milan star to sign him in the upcoming transfer window
Barcelona is enjoying a strong start to the season, currently sitting at the top of the La Liga table with 30 points after 11 matches. Reports from the Spanish media indicate that the team aims to enhance their left wing during the upcoming winter transfer window in January. While they previously pursued Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao, he opted to stay with the club, leading to Raphinha’s impressive performance under coach Hansi Flick.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Sport,” Barcelona remains interested in bolstering their left wing and has resumed negotiations with Portuguese winger Rafael Leão, currently with AC Milan. The report suggests that Barcelona is keen on signing Leão, especially after issues arose with his new coach at Milan, Fonseca.
Barcelona is keeping an eye on Leão’s situation and has reached out to his agent to explore the possibility of making an offer for him next summer. Leão, 24, joined Milan in August 2019 from Lille and has since made 221 appearances, scoring 59 goals and providing 54 assists. He was part of the team that won the Serie A title in the 2021-2022 season.
